Under the federal Employee Polygraph Protection Act, most private employers cannot require job applicants to take a polygraph. We provide pre-employment screening only to employers permitted to use it. If you aren't sure whether your organization qualifies, please check with your legal counsel.
For applicants
If an agency has asked you to take a pre-employment polygraph, feeling nervous is normal. The examiner will explain the process and review every question with you before the test begins.
